PR Manager

Job Description

Zenon Aviation Recruitment are currently searching for a PR Manager on behalf of an established airline based in the Middle East.

The role requires someone to develop and implement communication strategies, developing comprehensive plans for external and internal communications.

The successful applicant will have experience in:
• Communications contingency planning across all business activities
• Managing/influencing external agencies and international media contacts
• Management of budgets and media spend

Key responsibilities:
• Select and performance manage PR agency partners
• Build contingency communications plans, test them and ensure action is made decisively, protecting its reputation.
• Manage press conferences, events, media releases and public profile
• Act as spokesperson for the business and work directly with the CEO on all external communications
• Build strong media relationships
• Build, develop and protect the company’s brand and core values across all customer and media contact points.
• Prepare staff for interactions with the media through appropriate training and guideline development
• Utilise market research to inform and influence campaign development as well as validate business assumptions and test business hypotheses
• Manage the PR budget

You must be a strategic thinker, have effective communication, influence and negotiation skills, be able to use initiative, have a high attention to detail and quality, and have excellent problem solving and decision making skills.

To be successful you must have a minimum of 5years demonstrable experience in a senior PR role. A business degree would be advantageous.
