Job Description
Zenon Aviation Recruitment is delighted to be assisting a reputable organisation for a new Flight Training Manager to be based in South East UK.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the management, development and oversight of a team of professional Instructors, delivering first class training.
Key responsibilities include:
•Supervise team of Instructors and Flight Training Support team
•Manage the training, induction and qualification of new instructors
•Manage the qualification training plan
•Ensure the Instructor team has the qualifications and resources necessary to deliver cost-effective, high quality, state-of-the-art instruction
•Monitor instructor availability and qualification and liaise with Flight Training Support, Scheduling and TRM to ensure proper and timely scheduling, rostering and delivery of customer and internal training courses and recurrent checking and training
•Ensure the timely and accurate completion of student and instructor Training Records, certification and other reports
•Identify and diagnose problems, assess risks, including the investigation and resolution of training and performance problems
•Management, development and administration of the Flight Training Support team
•Assist the maintenance and development of training curricula and courseware
•Provide mentoring of instructors as appropriate
•On occasion deliver instruction on Type-specific and non-technical courses as agreed with the Head of Training
To be successful you will have experience with an approved TRTO or equivalent, including instructional and evaluation experience. You must also have experience in a managerial role or leadership experience in a pilot training environment.
In addition, successful applicants will:
•Possess appropriate pilot training experience
•Possess current appropriate EASA TRE or TRI qualification
•Be able to demonstrate a high level of technical and functional skills; keep informed of latest industry developments and assist in updating and maintaining company courseware and manuals
•Have excellent organisational skills, be self-motivated, flexible and adaptable to change
•Be an experienced people manager
•Hold ability to plan, prioritise and multi-task
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
•Be fluent in English
•A second language would be advantageous.
The organisation is offering an excellent salary and benefits package. This role is ground based only and the working hours are based on a standard Monday to Friday work pattern.
