We are delighted to be supporting a well-established operator, air charter and management service provider to source a Commercial Manager on a permanent basis based in the Mediterranean.
This is a highly fulfilling role where the successful candidate will be responsible for driving commercial strategy, revenue generation, and client relationships across the clients core business lines, including scheduled airline operations, aircraft management services, and ACMI leasing.
The role will focus on identifying new commercial opportunities, managing key client partnerships, and supporting the growth of ACMI and charter contracts, while optimising the commercial performance of scheduled routes and aircraft management services. The Aviation Commercial Manager will work closely with operations, finance, and network planning teams to ensure commercial initiatives align with operational capacity and strategic objectives.
The Successful Candidate will be responsible for:
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to grow revenue across the client’s various business units including but not limited to scheduled airline services, ACMI leasing, charter operations, and aircraft management services.
- Identify and pursue new ACMI and charter opportunities with airlines, tour operators, and aviation partners.
- Support the optimisation of scheduled route performance in collaboration with network planning and revenue management teams.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify commercial opportunities.
- Lead the development of ACMI and wet-lease agreements with airline partners.
- Identify seasonal and long-term ACMI opportunities to maximise aircraft utilisation.
- Negotiate commercial terms of ACMI, charter, and capacity agreements.
- Maintain strong relationships with airline partners, brokers, and charter clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with airline partners, aviation brokers, and charter clients.
- Act as a key commercial contact for strategic partners and customers.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and long-term partnership development.
- Monitor commercial performance across scheduled operations, ACMI contracts, and charter activity.
- Track revenue performance, aircraft utilisation levels, and commercial KPIs.
- Prepare commercial performance reports and forecasts for senior management.
- Work closely with operations, flight planning, network planning, and finance teams to ensure commercial agreements are operationally viable and financially sound.
- Coordinate internally to support contract implementation, aircraft deployment, and operational planning.
- Contribute to the airline’s overall growth strategy and fleet utilisation planning.
Minimum Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Aviation Management, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in aviation commercial roles, preferably within airlines, ACMI providers, or aircraft management companies.
- Experience negotiating ACMI, wet-lease, charter, or capacity agreements is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of airline commercial operations, aircraft utilisation strategies, and aviation market dynamics.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven business development capability.
- Solid understanding of ACMI leasing, charter operations, and airline commercial models.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking ability.
