IT Manager

We are delighted to be supporting a well-established operator, air charter and management service provider to source an IT Manager on a permanent basis based in the Mediterranean.

This is a highly fulfilling role where the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the organisation’s IT infrastructure, systems, and technology operations to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient support for business activities. The role involves managing day-to-day IT operations, implementing technology solutions, maintaining cybersecurity standards, and supporting the company’s ongoing digital development.

The IT Manager will work closely with internal departments and external service providers to ensure that technology systems effectively support operational, administrative, and commercial requirements. The role requires a proactive approach to system management, problem-solving, and continuous improvement of IT processes.

The Successful Candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing and maintaining the organisation’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud environments, and business applications.
• Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of all IT systems and services.
• Oversee system upgrades, hardware installations, and software deployments.
• Manage system backups, disaster recovery processes, and business continuity planning.
• Provide oversight of day-to-day IT operations and user support services.
• Ensure timely resolution of technical issues and support requests.
• Implement and maintain IT service management processes and documentation.
• Support employees with IT onboarding, system access, and technical guidance.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Monitor systems for security vulnerabilities, threats, and potential breaches.
• Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and internal security standards.
• Manage antivirus systems, firewalls, and security monitoring tools.
• Manage relationships with external IT service providers, vendors, and consultants.
• Evaluate and recommend new technology solutions to support business growth and efficiency.
• Oversee procurement of IT hardware, software, and services.
• Manage vendor contracts and service level agreements.
• Contribute to the development and execution of the company’s IT strategy and technology roadmap.
• Identify opportunities for digital transformation, automation, and system improvements.
• Support the implementation of new systems and technology-driven projects.
• Ensure IT infrastructure supports business scalability and future growth.
• Maintain IT policies, procedures, and system documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and data protection requirements, including GDPR.
• Support internal and external audits relating to IT systems and security controls.

Minimum Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT systems administration, infrastructure management, or IT operations.
• Previous experience in an IT management role is desirable.
• Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, and systems administration.
• Experience with cloud platforms, virtualisation, and enterprise software environments.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong vendor management and stakeholder coordination capabilities.
