We are delighted to be supporting a well-established scheduled turboprop and air charter operator to source a Chief Pilot on a permanent basis based in Papua new Guinea.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Pilot to join our client. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing all flight operations from a P125 and P135 basis, ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. You will also serve as the Nominated Post Holder, taking on significant responsibilities to maintain and enhance our client’s operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of flight operations, including planning, execution, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Oversee the training and development of flight crew members.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize operational performance.
- Serve as the Nominated Post Holder, representing the airline in regulatory matters.
- Monitor and analyse flight operations data to drive improvements and innovation.
- Develop and manage the flight operations budget.
Qualifications:
- UK/CAA/EASA/FAA/ICAO/CASA ATPL Holder
- Current DHC-6 TR
- Extensive experience in flight operations management.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
