We are delighted to be supporting a well-established bush flying , scheduled turboprop and air charter operator to source a Director of Flight Operations on a permanent basis based in East Africa.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Flight Operations to join our client. As the Director of Flight Operations (DFO), you will play a crucial role in overseeing all flight operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. You will also serve as the Nominated PostHolder, taking on significant responsibilities to maintain and enhance our client’s operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of flight operations, including planning, execution, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Oversee the training and development of flight crew members.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize operational performance.
- Serve as the Nominated PostHolder, representing the airline in regulatory matters.
- Monitor and analyze flight operations data to drive improvements and innovation.
- Develop and manage the flight operations budget.
Qualifications:
- UK/CAA/EASA/FAA/ICAO ATPL Holder
- Current DHC-8 TR
- Extensive experience in flight operations management.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
