Zenon is delighted to be seeking expressions of interest from Engineering Directors for a unique opportunity based in the Middle East on a permanent basis.
Confirmation of the project start date are yet to be confirmed however we are looking to identify suitable candidates as soon as is possible.
Reporting to the CEO you will have overall responsibility for the airworthiness, safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance of the clients fleet of aircraft.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:-
- Lead the company’s engineering and maintenance strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable CAA regulations, manufacturer requirements and industry standards.
- Oversee aircraft maintenance, repairs, modifications, reliability and airworthiness programmes.
- Develop and continually strengthen the Maintenance Control function and technical teams.
- Act as the primary engineering liaison with regulatory authorities, aircraft manufacturers and maintenance providers.
- Manage engineering budgets, contracts and resource allocation to deliver efficient, cost-effective operations.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, new technologies and process enhancements.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Support operational decision-making and remain available to address critical engineering matters as required.
- Represent the client at industry forums, regulatory meetings and professional events.
Minimum Skills and Experience:-
- Eligible to serve as the CAA NPH.
- Hold a valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence or equivalent qualification.
- Have at least 10 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance and engineering, including a minimum of five years in a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrate experience managing maintenance and continuing airworthiness programmes.
- Possess a strong understanding of aircraft maintenance regulations, airworthiness requirements and industry best practices.
- Demonstrate proven leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Possess strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Have experience managing budgets, vendor relationships and operational performance.
