Pre-Operations & Crewing Officer

Zenon is delighted to be supporting an established cargo operator in the UK in their search for a Pre-Operations & Crewing Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the Pre-Operations function in relation primarily to crew planning, being the liaison between the rostering function and the requirements of the business in regard crew training, hotels and travel, roster quality and maintenance up to handover to day-to-day crewing within the operations window.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Managing Crew travel, hotel and transport requirements via third party travel supplier
• Managing invoices in relation to travel, hotel and transport to ensure accuracy, including chasing invoices as required
• Supporting on-time performance, operational delivery and efficiency following the values and culture of One Air
• Monitoring and managing pilot time off and leave in an efficient way and in accordance with Company procedure
• ​Ensuring that crew resources are managed in the most efficient and cost-effective way, in compliance with documented statutory and regulatory requirements
• Monitoring all flight set ups to make sure compliant with all flight time limitations as set out in OMA chapter 7 and investigate occurrences of regulatory extension or breach.
• Managing fatigue reports and assisting team members as required to improve roster quality and lifestyle enhancement through continuous improvement.
• Monitoring and planning of crew qualification expiries and required interventions.
• Supporting the Operations Duty Managers on a day to day basis and covering where required.
• Actively support and deliver a safety culture and raise safety issues where and when required

​Requirements:​

• Must have at least 1 year’s previous experience in a similar role
• Previous experience with a knowledge and familiarity with aviation management systems
• An understanding of Day-to-Day Crewing, Pre-ops or Rostering functions
• ​An understanding of applicable regulations with respect to Flight Time Limitations and Fatigue Risk Management would be preferable
• Knowledge of the LEON flight software system would be preferable
