Technical Training Instructor

Zenon is delighted to be supporting one of the world’s largest providers of training to the civil and military markets to source a Technical Training Instructor on a permanent basis for their UK HQ in Southeast UK.

Reporting to the Operations Leader you will be responsible the delivery of maintenance training activities globally on behalf of the client .

Ideally successful candidates will either hold a TR or have extensive working experience on one of the following types, however we are also interested in receiving applications from instructors within both the commercial and business jet sectors :-

• Gulfstream GIV
• Gulfstream GV
• Gulfstream GVI
• Gulfstream GVII

Although this excellent opportunity is based in the UK, there will be travel within and outside of the UK in delivery of the training activities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:-

• Instruct clients in the safe, effective and efficient maintenance, operation, servicing and ground handling, functional operations tests, adjustments/rigging, removal & installation procedures, inspection, and/or troubleshooting of airframe, powerplant and/or avionics systems.
• Instructional duties, in accordance with established procedures, to include Classroom preparation, Classroom instructions as well as instructional sessions utilizing, as applicable, simulator or other part task training devices, labs, etc. and if applicable in the assigned program(s) practical training sessions consisting of training modules utilizing OEM technical data and/or publications, computer-based-training programs, simulator or other part task training devices, aircraft and/or aircraft components, labs, etc.
• Focused on identifying and supporting customers’ needs and requests.
• Conducts course examinations in accordance with 147 regulations during client type certification
• Conducts performance assessments in accordance with 147 regulations during client type certification
• Maintaining up to date and accurate client records for all training sessions conducted
• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for technical courseware development / revision, as required

Minimum Skills and Experience:-

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in aerospace or related industry
• Proven experience working on Gulfstream or instructor experience working on either business or commercial jets will be considered
• Demonstrated ability to interpret system wiring diagrams and/or schematics.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, etc. system diagrams and/or schematics.
• Demonstrated ability as the “Technical Expert” on the aircraft type or similar aircraft type
• Excellent presentation & interpersonal skills
• Highly effective personnel / client management skills
• Computer & knowledge of internet applications (including Word, PowerPoint & Outlook).
