Job Description
Zenon are delighted to be supporting one of the world’s largest providers of training to the civil and military markets to source a Head of QA & Compliance Monitoring for the EMEA region on a permanent basis for their facilities in the Southeast.

• The primary focus as the Head of QA & Compliance Monitoring for the EMEA region will be the support of the implementation of a Global framework for centralized safety, QA and compliance monitoring systems and the management and continuous improvement of the company’s Global Quality Management and Compliance Management Systems.


Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain all regulatory and industry approvals for the assigned region and maintain certification compliance to the highest standards
• Manage and maintain the regional continuous improvement program to improve customer satisfaction and profitability.
• Implement and execute the approved Global Annual Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring audit program to ensure ongoing Compliance with Regulatory and Corporate Standards.
• Act as Deputy Postholder, if applicable, for the assigned region and be accountable for the continuous improvement of the Quality Assurance and Compliance Management Systems across the regional ATO and FTO network.
• Communicate and coordinate with Regulatory Authorities on Quality Assurance and safety matters in conjunction with other relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure continuous improvement of the system and harmonization of policies and practices, where practical, whilst maintaining Compliance with the applicable NAA regulations.
• Implement the Global Training Plan for all Quality Assurance & Compliance personnel, in conjunction with Regional Senior Quality Management and ensure that all training programs are delivered by the relevant departments and that they are trained to be able to conduct their duties.
• Accountable for the Quality Assurance & Compliance Monitoring related elements of the assigned region for the monthly Safety, Quality & Compliance Review Board.
• Maintain a continuous feedback system to the Director of Global Safety, Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring with regards the performance and adequacy of the Quality Assurance & Compliance elements of the Integrated Safety, Quality Assurance and Compliance System ensuring that non-compliances are identified, root causes analysed and the appropriate corrective/preventative actions are established.
• Assist the Director of Global Safety, Quality Assurance & Compliance Monitoring in the development of annual KPI’s in conjunction with the other Heads of Regional Quality Assurance & Compliance Monitoring.
• Coordinate and be responsible for, with the other Heads of Regional Quality Assurance & Compliance Monitoring, a centralised records system for all Civil Division documentation and records as a part of the Integrated Safety, Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring system.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Has previous experience establishing or coordinating a fully functioning QMS and CMS for Training Organisations or Airlines.
• Previous experience as a regulator overseeing Airlines and Training Organisations desirable.
• Is a Qualified Quality Auditor.
• Has thorough knowledge of Quality Management Systems, ISO9001, AS9100 and CMMI.
• Has thorough knowledge of ICAO, Transport Canada, FAR, CASA, EASA and other NAA regulations (As appropriate to the region of assignment) relating to Safety, Quality Assurance, Training and Operations as well as their impact on CAE’s Commercial customers and their operating requirements.
• IOSA Audit experience desirable
• Be a highly disciplined individual who delivers results on-time and can ensure the same from their team.
• Is creative, innovative and forward focused individual capable of helping drive strategic development opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction, efficiency and profitability.
• Has excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels both internally and externally.
• Has a proven leadership skills and track record of working in a multi-cultural environment.
• Is a self-motivated individual with high levels of dedication and commitment capable of running a local and remote team.
• Must be able to analyse complex Quality Assurance, Compliance, Technical and Operational events and then develop and make sound recommendations that satisfy to the extent possible all stakeholders, including regulators, OEMs, operators, pilots, training organizations, etc.
